From Abstraction to Activism

Upon Donatella Bernardi’s inivitation, he is curating a video program for Eternal Tour 2010 in Jerusalem and Ramallah on the theme From Abstraction to Activism. The program will explore the question of encoded messages versus explicit activist references in art today through several recent video works. From the more abstract video works of Adrien Missika, Emanuel Rossetti or Oliver Husain to the discursive works of Pauline Boudry/Renate Lorenz, Aleksandra Domanovic, Frédéric Moser and Philippe Schwinger, or Jordan Wolfson and others, the program will experiment the relationship between art, poetry and activist discourse and its reception in the field of contemporary art.
